Alhambra Day Care Center
The Salvation Army
"It has been a pleasure to work alongside you and your team throughout the course of construction. Ascent Builders not only puts together a great product, but you go beyond the call of duty to ensure that every last detail is completed. You have been a great partner and a delight to work with ." David Bentley
June 22, 2011, The Salvation Army opened its new childcare development center in Oak Park (Community of Sacramento). To celebrate the opening, The Salvation Army held a grand opening event in which about 100 people attended. The celebration included tours of the facility and refreshments and food prepared by food crews of The Salvation Army shelter on B Street.
The $3 million, 14,000 square foot facility in Oak Park replaced an 2,400 square foot modular building that housed The Salvation Army Daycare for the past 24 years. The new centers daycare, which is licensed through the State of California to hold 75 children and is divided into three separate rooms that are designed to accommodate 25 kids each. The upstairs portion of the facility is primarily the location for after school programs for ages 6 to 12. The program creates a safe environment where kids can work on homework and engage in extra-curricular activities.
