5 Years With Ascent
"When you live life like it matters... it does."
I've lived in the Sacramento area most of my life. I met my wife during my freshman year at Sacramento State in the Union through mutual friends. She is wonderful, sociable and energetic and we both have a weird kind of humor. We have a lot of inside jokes that only we think are funny; we've been together about eight years total and we now live in El Dorado Hills with our Australian Cattle Dog - Boogie.
I like to work on classic cars - I'm currently working on a 1966 Nova that was in Ascent's first annual car show in June of 2011. I really find humor in bad horror movies; I like good horror movies too, but for some reason the bad ones are just so much more entertaining. I like doing outdoor activities with my family like backpacking and rafting etc. Once a year I help out Sac State's Construction Management program when they go to the Associated Schools of Construction competition in Reno, NV.
I was one of Ascent Builder's very first employees when I was fifteen years old. I have worked at a couple of different companies and received my degree from Sac State and now I'm back where it all started. Ascent is a great place - it's not very corporate or compartmentalized and everyone seems to help with everything. Being in Construction is so tangible - after all the work has been done there's a building to show for it. No two days are alike and that keeps me interested.
